Chef Gal Ben MosheChef Gal Ben Moshe - Owner & Chef, Prism, Berlin
Chef Gal Ben Moshe is the first Israeli chef to win a Michelin Star for his Germany-based restaurant, Prism.
Chef Gal started his career at Orca in Tel Aviv which was a very modern French restaurant. He later moved to London where he worked at Gordon Ramsay’s then 1- Michelin starred ‘Maze’ in Mayfair, 2-Michelin starred ‘Marcus’ by Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge, and 2-Michelin starred ‘Hibiscus’ under Claude Bosi in Mayfair. He then got an opportunity to train at Alinea in Chicago under the great Grant Achatz. He eventually made his way to Berlin in 2012 to open his first restaurant, GLASS. There he was awarded 16 points in the Gault & MiIllau and was also nominated for the Berlin Master Chef Award.
His cooking is indisputably contemporary and creative, but still taps into what he calls 'a historically neglected kitchen,' namely thousands of years of Eastern Arabic cooking from Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. "I want to recreate historic recipes, ideas, textures, and flavors by bringing them into modern times and fine dining. Ultimately, diners will get tastes of my home and a true sense of the occasion.

Chef Olivia Ostrow - Owner & Chef, Ostrow Brasserie
French Chef Olivia Ostrow culinary journey began in her native France, where she learned to cook as a teenager and was mentored by the chef to Jacques Chirac, the former President of France. Weekends were spent in the countryside in Périgord, where Olivia was taught how to stuff geese and make foie gras.
In the ‘90s, Olivia’s collaborated with her father to create a French restaurant called Le Rendez-Vous in North Carolina. At the award-winning brasserie, she incorporated traditional French influences into her cooking, while learning the business side of the business. Next, Olivia embarked on a global food tour, including a stint in Israel, and acquired new cooking techniques in every country she visited.
In the 2010s, she returned stateside and launched “O’s Gourmet Catering,” an international catering company situated on Florida’s Treasure Coast, as well as two successful restaurants, O’s Café and O’cean Café. Miami beckoned and, in August 2023, Olivia debuted Ostrow Brasserie, which is the culmination of all these experiences. With a keen eye for detail, killer cooking skills and front-of-house prowess, the award-winning chef has created Miami’s first Kosher French restaurant.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit Camp Shalva. With no end in sight to the war, this summer will bring welcomed relief to our Shalva children and their parents. This year we are anticipating 300 campers (with an equal number of staff and volunteers) participating in our day and sleep away camps at the Shalva National Center.
